Frequently asked questions about earthquake alerts

How quickly is a new earthquake alert sent?

New events are processed continuously. Once an earthquake matches an active rule, a push notification is sent to the connected browser.

Do I need to enter coordinates for a city alert?

No. Search for a city and select it from the results. QuakeMap24 adds the coordinates automatically and uses them only to calculate the radius.

Can I create multiple alert rules?

Yes. You can create, pause or delete separate rules for different countries, cities, radiuses and magnitudes.

Alert settings are used exclusively to deliver your selected earthquake and tsunami notifications.
